Branding + Signage
The client wanted a playful brand that made dog washing feel easier and more enjoyable for both dogs and their owners.
They were set on using blue and yellow (the colours dogs see best) but finding tones that felt fun without being too corporate or too IKEA was surprisingly difficult. They also wanted lots of different elements that they could combine to make their own content in future.
We landed on a deep aqua blue and bright yellow palette that felt fun and splashy, yet stayed clear and legible together.
I chose Zigzag by Volcano Type for the logo and H1 because it’s stylistic alternates for multiple characters added playfulness and flexibility to the content the client could create in future.
I also created a set of bubble and sparkle graphics that they could use across signage, print, and digital.

Website
After initially designing a simple one-page website, user research revealed that the concept wasn’t clear to potential customers.
After a content rewrite, a lot more copy was added, so the site required a full redesign. To balance this, and to, better explain the idea visually, I used photos of dogs, hands, and the grooming tools/products they use/sell.
A further challenge was linking their Shopify store seamlessly while maintaining consistent design and functionality.
The bold colours, bubbles, and sparkles helped carry the brand identity over, and I was able to implement the same wavy menu (sans-animation) despite Shopify’s design limitations.
